iRiver Mickey MP3 player

iriver-mickey.jpg

Last year, the company iRiver together with Disney has created an original mp3 player that looks like Mickey Mouse head. The player has been created for the Disneyland in Hong Kong, and now they created new version with two new colors, an additional gigabyte of memory and LED lights, which helps Mickey express his emotions.

The player is fully functional gadget. Mickey’s ears are in fact used to control the volume and files stored in memory. Adjusting volume is done very intuitively by turning the ears. New elements in the iRiver Mickey MP3 is a set of LED’s which create 20 different expressions on the Mickey’s face, which are assigned to different functions.

The gadget has 2GB internal memory and can play files in MP3, WMA and ASF formats. Communicating with a computer and battery charging is done via the USB port. A battery is sufficient for listening music for 9 hours. I think that this is quite an interesting player for the youngest, even better than the recently presented Creative Zen Moo. iRiver Mickey MP3 will be available from mid-December in the price of 8,980 yens, which is around $ 100

moviestation.jpg

TrekStor company is known as a producer of external hard drives which are ideal for storage of high resolution materials. It ss no different in the case of the new handheld version MovieStation. This device, however is not only the hard drive. It is, as its name suggests, the portable movie station.

In the UK you can get a 250 GB version for 100 pounds (about $145) or 500 GB for 140 pounds (about $205). It’s not cheap, but it may be worth that price.  MovieStation has a built-in memory card slots for SD, MMC and xD cards, reads JPEG image files, but what is most important it is an excellent movie player!

Thanks to this toy from TrekStor you can watch without a problems materials in MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 formats including DivX and XviD. MovieStation can be also connected to a TV.  Ana as you can see in the picture there is also remote control included.
